3 teams the Ohio State football team would love to see kicked out of the Big Ten

The Ohio State football program is one of the most successful programs in the Big Ten. There are three teams that just don't belong in the conference though.

The Ohio State football program has done a really good job of dominating the Big Ten over the years. While that has stopped recently, they are still one of the best teams year in and year out. There are very few rivals that they have in the conference. The conference is getting bigger this year too.

While the Buckeyes are a really good team every year, some other Big Ten programs aren't so lucky. There have been a few who haven't been good for quite a while. Honestly, they pull the rest of the conference down with their mediocrity and the fact that they are never competitive.

There are three programs that the Ohio State football program wouldn't mind kicking out of the Big Ten if they had the power to do so. None of these programs are serious threats to them each season in the conference. They aren't afraid of competition. They want to play the best teams every year.

The first team on this list never should've been added to the Big Ten to begin with.

1. Rutgers

Rutgers came into the Big Ten when they expanded back in 2014. Former Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney wanted the conference to have an East Coast reach, specifically in the New York market. That's what Rutgers was supposed to give the conference.

Instead, what Rutgers has given the Big Ten is poor play, especially on the football field. They haven't come close to competing in the Big Ten. In most seasons, they are the worst team in the Big Ten. That has changed a bit since Greg Schiano has gone back.

There hasn't really been a year in which the Ohio State football team has had a serious scare with Rutgers. Last season, the first half was a lot closer than it should've been. Other than that, there hasn't been any year in which the Scarlet Knights have competed with them.

If Ohio State could kick Rutgers out, they certainly would. They aren't good and they don't add any value to football. They aren't horrible in basketball, but that's the only sport in which they add anything to the Big Ten. Quite frankly, they don't belong in a power conference.

The second program on this list came into the Big Ten during the same time Rutgers did.
