The Ohio State football team is still undefeated after taking down Michigan State 38-7 over the weekend. It was the first Big Ten game that they have played this season and also their first road game. They now return home to face an Iowa team that is better than they've been in recent years.

After another win, the Buckeyes are still firmly in the College Football Playoff discussion. They are still the favorites to win the Big Ten. Nothing they've done this season has changed that. They remained third in the polls after Alabama leaped to one and Texas went down to two.

Ohio State is firmly in the top 12 for the College Football Playoff right now. There was a lot of movement from last week's prediction table though after a couple of upsets. Some teams have moved down while some others have moved completely out.

Despite Alabama's big win over Georgia, I can't move them ahead of Texas. With what they have been able to do with Quinn Ewers leading the team, I think they're the best team in the SEC. I still think they'd beat Alabama, who almost choked the game away vs. the Dawgs after leading 28-3.

Ole Miss is the big loser. I was never a big believer in the Rebels and they proved me right after losing at home to Kentucky. I don't see them getting back into the playoff picture at any point this season. Quite frankly, I don't think much of Missouri either even though they're undefeated. But they still make the table this week.

I was impressed with Notre Dame's win over Louisville despite the fact that they had some bad turnovers. It was impressive that they kept fighting and didn't roll over after they started the game as poorly as they did.

We're going to find out a lot about the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon next week when the two meet in Eugene.
