The Ohio State football team has been one of the favorites to win the national championship since the season started. They were the preseason number-two team for a reason. Nothing that they've done this season has changed any thoughts about how good they are.

While they are now third in the polls, this team is still the favorite to win the Big Ten and get an automatic bid for the CFP. They won't face a real test on their schedule until October 5th. Other teams around the Big Ten have already shown themselves to be frauds.

Michigan dropped out of the top 12 last week. They didn't look any better against Arkansas State. Wisconsin got pounded and showed everyone they're not ready to make a step in year two under Luke Fickell. What does the rest of the College Football Playoff picture look like?

The biggest shake-up this week is Texas jumping over Georgia for that top seed. The Bulldogs struggled mightily with Kentucky, beating them by just one point. Georgia only scored one touchdown against the Wildcats. There are cracks in the armor for sure.

Texas hasn't slowed down, but Quinn Ewers does have an ab injury now. It's unclear how much time he's going to miss, but they won't need him this week against UL Monroe. This still could cause issues down the line against some tougher SEC opponents once they get to that point in their schedule.

Northern Illinois is the other big winner. A week after beating Notre Dame, they get the jump over Liberty for the final playoff spot. I watched the film, and they look like a team that is going to be hard to beat for the rest of the teams in the MAC. They also have by far the best win of any non-Power 6 team.

This week is a much better slate of games so we're going to learn a lot more about how the CFP picture is going to be formed on Saturday.
