Post-game fight emblematic of where the Ohio State football program is under Ryan Day
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team lost its fourth straight game to TTUN on Saturday. It was a disappointing 13-10 loss that saw the Buckeyes fail to score in the second half of the game. The Buckeyes weren't able to show that the talent they have is greater than what the Wolverines have.
Talent only gets you so far. TTUN showed that in this game. They were able to win this game because they out-coached yet again. Ryan Day has now lost to Jim Harbaugh and Sherrone Moore multiple times. After this loss, there was a post-game fight at midfield.
Michigan tried to plant the flag on the Ohio State logo just as they did in 2022. One of the Ohio State Buckeyes wasn't going to let that happen. Jack Sawyer ran in and tried to get them to stop, and a melee ensued. Ryan Day's response to the fight was symbolic of how he's run the program.

During the post-game fight, Jack Sawyer was incensed. He was being held back by an assistant coach as Day just stood on, bewildered. He didn't try to separate anyone or lead in any way. He just stood there. Take a look at his response, which I'm sure you've seen by now.
"What happened?" That's all Day had to say about this fight that happened. He didn't try to stop it or break it up. He just stood there frozen. That's symbolic of how he has run the program now. The Buckeyes are clearly stuck under Day. Something needs to change.
Day has been getting killed for his response. He should be. He's supposed to be the leader of young men. Ohio State needs someone who understands what it means to beat TTUN. Clearly, it's not Day.
