The Ohio State football program has completed all of its spring practices. They have just one last thing to do in order to finish spring workouts. That will come in just a few hours, as the Ohio State Buckeyes will play the annual Spring Game. It will be a full game with tackling and everything.

This Spring has been less than ideal for the Buckeyes, as they have had to deal with a lot of injuries. A few position groups suffered more injuries than others, including the running back room. Still, Ohio State was able to get in some good work with the backups.

As the game approaches, one position group needs to show above the others that it has taken a leap from last season. That position group is the offensive line, which was much-maligned last season during both the Big Ten Championship Game and the Cotton Bowl.

The offensive line must show improved play during the Ohio State Spring Game

Four starters from last year return up front. However, the Buckeyes won't have Austin Siereveld or Phillip Daniels for this game. That opens up the door for Ian Moore to step up and possibly earn a starting role. How well he plays in this game could determine if that's possible.

The guard spot is something to look at, as well. Joshua Padilla and Gave VanSickle are fighting for the right guard spot. They have to show that they are both better than Moore. If not, then Moore could be the starting left tackle, and they could move Siereveld to guard.

Protecting the quarterback and giving him enough time to survey the field is going to be the biggest issue for the Buckeyes this season. That starts with the Spring Game. Having the offensive line show they are good enough to compete at the highest level is something fans need to keep an eye on.

The weather might hold up for this game, so fans should get a real look at this roster.
