Over the past couple of seasons, I've been very critical of the Ohio State football team's offensive line. The Buckeyes have had poor play up front, and it has contributed to the losses that they have suffered. Quite frankly, that unit was my top concern heading into this season.

The addition of Chip Kelly has greatly helped the offensive line. Even so, there are some players I'm still not 100% sold on. The right side of the line was a question coming into the season. Buckeye fans now know why it was so much of a concern because one player's midset is completely off.

Josh Fryar started at right tackle last season and wasn't great. I did not like what I saw from him in the final four games of the season. Despite this, he has started this year too. He's been much better this year, but an answer he gave to a question about playing in big games makes me question him all over again.

Josh Fryar's answer about the Ohio State football team playing in big games is confounding

Fryar was asked what it means as an Ohio State football player to play in a huge game like the one this weekend against Oregon. Will Howard had a great answer to this question, saying games like this are why you come to Ohio State. Fryar's answer is the complete opposite. Take a look below.

As a starting tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes, how can you not like playing in the bright lights? That's the whole reason you come to Columbus! Every game is showcased across the country for everyone to see. That's kind of the whole gig you sign up for.

This mentality is extremely concerning coming from a starter. Fryar should want to play the best competition in front of the eyes of the country. I wonder if this means he's going to falter on Saturday and let some pressure into the face of Howard.

Ryan Day needs to instill a culture of embracing these kinds of opportunities. He needs guys who can overcome the pressure and thrive in it. Fryar seems to admit he's not that kind of player.
