The Ohio State basketball team has looked pretty solid so far this season. They had one game in which they didn't shoot well, and it cost them. That was the game at Texas A&M, which resulted in a loss. They bounced back with a massive win over Evansville earlier this week.
The Buckeyes will now take on Campbell on Friday night. Campbell isn't exactly a great team, so this game will likely be another blowout. Unfortunately, the Ohio State Buckeyes will be without two starters for this game and they are both in the frontcourt.
Aaron Bradshaw left the game against Evansville with what appeared to be a head injury. He won't play in this game. Neither will power forward Sean Stewart. Both Buckeyes were listed as "out" on the official injury report listed by Ohio State. Bradshaw looks like he could be in some trouble though.
Two starters will be missing for the Ohio State basketball team vs. Campbell
Ohio State released a statement regarding Bradshaw indicating that he's not currently with the program. They released the following statement:
"Aaron Bradshaw is not currently participating in team activities. The university is following its established process. Due to federal privacy laws, we cannot share further information at this time."Ohio State University
That doesn't sound good. Normally, when a team has to release a statement like this, it's nothing good. It sounds like Bradshaw might be in some sort of trouble. We don't know what that is, so I'll refrain from speculating more about it until more information comes out.
Normally, this would be a bad situation for the Ohio State basketball team to deal with. Missing two starters is never something that a team wants to have to deal with. If this was in conference play, it would be a much bigger deal. Fortunately for the Buckeyes, it's not.
They should have no issues winning this game without Bradshaw and Stewart. This should be another game in which the Buckeyes blow out their opponent. While it may not be to the tune of 80-30 as it was against the Aces on Monday, but it will be a big margin of victory.
Hopefully, neither of these absences are a long-term thing. The Buckeyes are looking more fun than they have in years. If they can stay healthy, they should be able to compete in the Big Ten and possibly make the NCAA Tournament.
