Ohio State will make Michigan football player eat his words

This comment after the Buckeyes trounced the Wolverines will be something Bryce Underwood regrets.

The Ohio State football program seemed to break Michigan at the end of last season. After the Buckeyes crushed TTUN, everything fell apart. They fired Sherrone Moore after his improper off-field behavior came to light. After that, they decided to hire Kyle Whittingham.

Bryce Underwood was the top-rated recruit in the country in last year's recruiting class. He was hyped up to be one of the best freshman TTUN has ever had. When he played the Ohio State Buckeyes, he finished just 8-18 for 63 yards and an interception.

It seems clear that Underwood may have been overhyped as a prospect, although he has time to figure things out. Now, Underwood is claiming that things will be better next season because it will be more player-led and the Wolverines will be better than the Buckeyes.

Bryce Underwood has a ridiculous quote about Michigan's future success

Underwood seems to think that things will be better with Moore gone.

"We went through a lot, but I think we're going to be more player-led this season. I feel like we are more of a team now."

He believes that the team will come together now that Moore is out of the picture. The problem is that none of the players seemed to come together when they knew about what he was doing. No one said anything to higher-ups or tried to address it with the other members of the coaching staff.

If that's the case, where is the leadership from the players? If Underwood believes the team will be more player-led, wouldn't that be more concerning? How does that help them get over a colossal loss to the Buckeyes? His quote just doesn't seem to make much sense.

Ohio State will get to host TTUN in the Shoe in November, which means Underwood will need to have a massive game in order to win on the road. Ohio State's defense is going to be among the country's best yet again, so that seems highly unlikely at this point.

Ohio State fans shouldn't be worried about TTUN this season

The Buckeyes are always worried about The Game, no matter where it's played. They need to have a healthy respect for the rivalry, but the Buckeyes are a much more talented team. With Whittingham playing in the rivalry for the first time on the road, that seems like a recipe for disaster for TTUN.

Ohio State is a very good team, so the Buckeyes should be favored. As of right now, they are favored in that final game of the season by 12.5 points, according to DraftKings. That will certainly change between now and November, but Ohio State is just set up for more success next season.

Tavien St. Clair was the second-rated QB in Underwood's class. He will likely get a shot to play against him next season. Ohio State fans believe that St. Clair will eventually end up being better than Underwood. Underwood seems rather confident that that won't happen at any point.
