The Ohio State football team is ready to exercise their demons when it comes to The Game. They want to beat TTUN and flip the rivalry to what it was for most of the last two decades. It has been a full year since the Buckeyes have lost a game, as they haven't lost since losing to TTUN last season.

What makes things so impressive with how they have played this year is the fact that they lost both coordinators from last year's national championship team. Jim Knowles left to go to Penn State, and that was a disaster. Chip Kelly left to be the highest-paid offensive coordinator in the NFL.

Kelly's situation ended up being a disaster, too. He was the OC for the Las Vegas Raiders, and things have not gone well for them. In fact, Kelly was let go from his position late on Sunday night after just 11 games with the Raiders. The Ohio State Buckeyes should pounce on this opportunity.

The Ohio State football team should bring Chip Kelly back

Ryan Day should bring Kelly back to the program and use him as an analyst for the rest of the season. Kelly has already proven that he works well with Day, as evidence by what they did last year together. Adding him back to the staff would be great for the Buckeyes for the stretch run.

Kelly would be able to help Brian Hartline in these pressure situations, as Hartline's play-calling has been hit-and-miss at times this season. Bringing Kelly in before the Michigan game would be even better and give the Buckeyes some added firepower on that side of the ball.

What else does Kelly have going on? It's clear his NFL chances are gone forever. Day is a cherished friend who has shown that he can be a good boss to him. If Kelly wants to stay in football and just coach without worrying about the recruiting and NIL crap that goes with it, why not come back to Columbus?

It wouldn't be surprising if Day has already made a phone call.
