Quinshon Judkins, not TreVeyon Henderson, was the first Ohio State running back to come off the board in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but the Buckeye legend who scored three touchdowns in the National Championship Game nearly missed his special moment.
Even Judkins seemed to be surprised about how early he was selected because when the Cleveland Browns drafted him with the fourth pick of the second round, he wasn't there to take the call. Judkins appeared to be in the bathroom when the Cleveland front office gave him a call to let him know he was the newest member of the franchise, and it gave the draft coverage on ESPN a fantastic moment.
Quinshon Judkins missing the Browns call because he was in the bathroom is now a part of Browns canon 😂💀 pic.twitter.com/Z1Un9YWlVR

Quinshon Judkins staying in Ohio to join the Cleveland Browns
After two seasons starring at Ole Miss with a massive workload, Judkins transferred to Ohio State to split carries with Henderson, who was selected two picks later by the New England Patriots. Leading the backfield, Judkins ran for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns across the Buckeyes' 16 games last season.
Judkins will have the opportunity to replace long-time star running back Nick Chubb in Cleveland this season. While he's staying in Ohio, he could return to his role as a workhorse back as he was with the Rebels, and Browns fans will hope he's in the backfield not the bathroom to answer when head coach Kevin Stefanski calls his number.
The Browns are desperately trying to rid themselves of their reputation as the lovable losers, but a moment like this certainly won't help their cause. Judkins is a proven champion, but everything the Browns touch turns to well, Brown, and this is just the latest example. Mike Greenburg said it best: "When nature calls, sometimes that beats out when the Browns call."
