The Ohio State football team plays the final game of the regular season on Saturday against Michigan. It's a game they have waited for for an entire year. It's the only loss they've had in the last calendar year. After losing four straight to TTUN, they want to end the losing streak.
Last week, Jeremiah Smith was held out against Rutgers. He was seen limping during the UCLA game during pregame warm-ups, but still played in the first half. That first half was a very good indication of just how good Smith is. He was clearly hurting, and still was able to make four catches.
The Buckeyes were able to win that game, as well as the Rutgers game, fairly easily without Smith. Now, they need all hands on deck for this game. Smith needs to play in this game. While on a podcast with one of his teammates, Smith indicated that he's good to go this weekend.
Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith says he will play against TTUN
While on the Downs 2 Business Podcast with his teammate Caleb Downs, Smith indicated that he is good to go for the game on Saturday afternoon.
"I'm feeling good. Dealing with a little situation injury-wise, but I should be good to go for Saturday."
There was very little doubt that Smith was going to play on Saturday afternoon. It's his birthday on the day of the game. The Ohio State Buckeyes had to force Smith not to play in the second half of the UCLA game and the entire Rutgers game. He would have played in both had it been a do-or-die game.
The Buckeyes need Smith out there to be the best version of themselves. Having him as the best player on the field is good news. Meanwhile, Michigan is dealing with several injuries of its own. Giving Julian Sayin a weapon like Smith is going to make them hard to beat.
Ryan Day will make sure he uses Smith more in this game than he did a year ago. He has learned from that failure, and he has coached differently since that game.
