He's one of the top tight ends in the country and there's a good reason for that. Yup, Brock Williams has seen his recruitment blow up and Ohio State is a finalist to land his services. The 2027 prospect has just about every powerhouse chasing his verbal.
Brian Hartline had conversations with Jeremiah Smith about leaving Ohio State
The Buckeyes are one of three schools on his finalists list, joined by Georgia and Texas. While Ohio State fans were feeling good here, it looks like the elite playmaker could be headed for SEC country instead. In some unfortunate news for the OSU faithful, a new prediction has come in for Kirby Smart and the Dawgs to come out on top of this big-time recruiting battle:

Ohio State football has been predicted to lose 4-star TE Brock Williams to Georgia
Nothing is set in stone here or anything, but it's surely not the update that people in Columbus wanted to see. Tight ends aren't known to be featured heavily in an Ohio State offense, but Arthur Smith could look to change that now that he's taking over for Brian Hartline as OC.
Williams has picked up nearly 40 offers throughout his recruitment, which speaks volumes to how popular of a recruit he is. Ohio State would love nothing more than for him to ball out in the Big Ten in the future, but things are looking a bit complicated there.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-5, 210-pound Illinois product is ranked four stars, the No. 2 tight end in the country and the No. 52 prospect nationally. He's also the No. 3 player out of his home state for the '27 group.
Ohio State has been working quickly in landing commitments, with nine current high school juniors with a seat at the table. The hope was that Williams would commit to the Buckeyes over the Longhorns and Bulldogs, but things aren't looking too promising anymore there for Day and his staff. It could be time to start focusing on other guys high on their tight end board.
