In recent weeks, Ryan Day and Ohio State have been making several moves via the transfer portal to put the final touches on the 2026 roster. However, Day and his staff are still working overtime in building relationships with 2027 prospects.

With that, it looks like a new commitment could be rolling in soon if Day has his way. In this case, Ohio State fans need to be on 'commit watch' with offensive tackle Davis Seaman. On Wednesday, Rivals' Steve Wiltfong logged in his official prediction for the Ohio product to commit to OSU. Usually when this happens, we know what comes next:

OT Davis Seaman has been predicted to commit to Ohio State football
While he may be ranked three stars, don't let that fool you - Seaman is a monster in the trenches and he's already got great size checking in at 6-3.5, 275 pounds. Throughout his recruitment, the senior-to-be lineman has picked up offers from Auburn, Ohio State, Kentucky, Penn State, Virginia Tech and many others.
More importantly here, though, is that Seaman is a standout for Bishop Watterson right in Columbus. The distance from Seaman's high school to the Ohio State campus is a mere 8-10 minute drive away depending on how fast you're going.
This is why it'd be crucial for Day to make sure Seaman doesn't give his verbal pledge to anyone else. This also isn't the first time that Seaman has been predicted to commit to the Buckeyes, as 247's Allen Trieu put in his 'Crystal Ball' pick for this to happen as well.
So, could things come to fruition there in the near future? That most certainly could be the case. Thus far for the '27 cycle, Day has picked up pledges from nine players. Will Seaman end up being prospect No. 10 to grab a seat at the table? That's no question something for the Ohio State faithful to monitor, as Seaman could be ready to shut things down sooner rather than later.
