With the win over the Michigan Wolverines, the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes cemented their place atop the nation, their undefeated regular season, and their spot in the Big Ten Championship.

Alongside securing their spot in the conference title game and undeniably solidifying their berth in this season's College Football Playoff, the Buckeyes also took another step toward defending their National Championship.

As the days until the conference championships get marked off and the Playoffs fly into focus, oddsmakers are leaning into Ohio State being the runaway favorites to win it all.

Ohio State leads the Natty chase

Unsurprisingly, the No. 1 team in the nation is the favorite to win the National Championship. That just makes sense. However, it isn't every year that the No. 1 team is as far ahead of the No. 2 team in the country as the Buckeyes are right now.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Ohio State has +155 odds to win the whole shabang. The team currently in second place? The No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers (who are also currently undefeated) with just +460 odds to win it all.

The best part? The Buckeyes could further cement themselves as the odds-favorites in less than a week's time when Ohio State and Indiana face off in the Big Ten Championship.

In the conference title game, the Buckeyes have already opened as 5.5-point favorites over the Hoosiers, likely landing the team with a 13-0 record heading into the CFP and an undeniable No. 1 spot, which would also mean a first-round bye.

This weekend, as each conference championship game unfolds, No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana are scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 6, and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
