The Ohio State football program does a great job of recruiting nationally at the receiver position. They are good enough to get pretty much any kind of receiver they want, even without Brian Hartline on the coaching staff any longer. He developed five straight first-round picks at that spot.

Texas is a state that Ohio State has grabbed multiple receivers from in the last few years. In fact, they have developed a pipeline from that state at the receiver spot. Garrett Wilson is the most talented one that they have brought in. Brock Boyd is the latest addition, and he's a freshman who has turned heads.

As the Ohio State Buckeyes continue to address their 2027 recruiting class, they are looking at adding another receiver from Texas. Four-star receiver Tre Moore has been considering the Buckeyes. He has now reduced his number of schools to three.

Ohio State listed as a finalist for four-star receiver recruit

Moore has Ohio State on his final schools list. Other than the Buckeyes, he also has Miami, and Washington has his other two schools. He clearly doesn't care about any specific geographic region, so the Buckeyes don't have any specific advantage or disadvantage when it comes to that.

Moore stands at 6'3 and 190 pounds, so he has good size. He actually is a relatively recent recruit for Ohio State, as he just received an offer less than a month ago. He has already officially visited both the Hurricanes and the Huskies, so he will likely look to set one up with the Buckeyes, too.

For this 2027 class, Cortez Hankton has only one receiver recruit so far. Jamier Brown stayed committed to the Buckeyes even after Hartline decided he was leaving for South Florida. Hankton has yet to really grab any players of his own since joining the coaching staff.

It's still unclear when Moore will make his final collegiate decision, but Ohio State is hoping to land his commitment.
