Week 1 ended up being a heartstopper for the Ohio State football team going up against then No. 1 Texas. In the end, the reigning champs were able to sneak away with a 14-7 win, ultimately leading to Ryan Day and Co. being the new top squad in the AP Top 25.

With all the respect in the world for Grambling State, the Buckeyes are getting a much-needed breather to follow things up. In Week 2, the Grambling State Tigers are making their way to The Shoe and it's going to take a miracle for them to even keep things somewhat competitive.

The Vegas oddsmakers seem to agree with that. On Friday afternoon, the betting line came out for this matchup in Columbus and the Buckeyes are favored by 55.5 points for this one. Ladies and gentlemen, that's not a typo. Yes, the spread is 55.5 points:

Earlier in the week, Grambling State head coach Mickey Joseph joked that both bands are going to put on a show for everyone inside of the stadium. You've got to give him credit for at least understanding how tall of a mountain is in front of him.

Joseph knows that Ohio State is the dominant team here and that it's not going to be easy for the Tigers to keep things close. There's a scholarship differential and there's simply no comparison when it comes to talking about NIL deals and what not.

Joseph and his players are heading to Columbus to do the best they can and no one is going to blame them or talk trash if they suffer a lopsided loss. On the other side of the field, the Buckeyes are going to use this matchup as an opportunity to shake off some rust from the opening game of 2025.

Day revealed that the game plan wasn't open up for Julian Sayin, making his first start, to throw the ball all over the field vs. Texas. That won't be the case against Grambling State, as we can fully expect him to take plenty of downfield shots to try and hit Jeremiah Smith.

Covering Smith, Carnell Tate and others will prove to be nearly impossible for the Tigers. This score should get out of hand early, but Day of course will keep that in mind in the second half. He's not going to just run up the scoreboard to make Grambling State look bad or anything like that.
