The Ohio State football program has been one of the most consistent programs in college football. Over the last several seasons, they have contended for a College Football Playoff spot almost every year. Ryan Day has kept the program up to the standard that Urban Meyer set when he left.

The Buckeyes started last season 12-0 before losing the final two games of the season. It was a disappointing finish to a season that started with so much promise. With spring practice going on, the Ohio State Buckeyes are hoping to get that taste out of their mouths.

Despite the fact that the Buckeyes have won 10+ games in 13 of the last 14 seasons, and the only time they didn't was because of the COVID-shortened 2020 season, sports books aren't respecting them. They set a majorly disrespectful win total for the Buckeyes this season.

FanDuel sets wildy disrespectful win total for Ohio State football

According to FanDuel, Ohio State's win total is set at 9.5. That is much lower than any other season in recent memory. Clearly, they don't believe that the Buckeyes can replenish the talent they are losing on the defensive side of the ball. There's a chance that Ohio State has four first-round picks on defense next month.

The schedule is also something going against Ohio State. They have a much tougher schedule than they did a year ago. They play at Texas, at Indiana, and at USC. The Bukeyes also play Michigan at home. That is not an easy schedule, even for one of the most talented teams in the country.

Ohio State should be explosive offensively with the talent they have returning. Julian Sayin comes back after being a Heisman Finalist. Jeremiah Smith is the best player in the country at any position. They also have four of their five best offensive linemen returning.

Ryan Day will surely use this as motivation for his guys this spring. He wants to make sure his guys are ready to blow this win total out of the water.
