Ohio State football vs. Penn State final odds and prediction
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has gone through a lot in the last few weeks. They lost a game to Oregon that they could have won if they had executed better on the final drive. Then, they looked awful in their win over Nebraska two weeks later, coming off a bye week.
Now, the Buckeyes have to travel to Penn State and take on another top-five team. Historically, the Ohio State Buckeyes have owned the Nittany Lions. In fact, they have won the last seven matchups. There's a sense that this year could be different though.
That's because of how bad the Ohio State offensive line looked last week against a bad Cornhuskers team. Zen Michalski at left tackle was a complete debacle. He wasn't the only issue, though. The entire offensive line looked bad. It's another red mark against Justin Frye as the offensive line coach.

The oddsmakers still believe in the Buckeyes. According to DraftKings, Ohio State is still a 3-point favorite. They opened the week as a 4.5-point favorite. The line has gone down since the beginning of the week because of that poor offensive line play. The over/under is set at 47.
it seems that Vegas thinks James Franklin will still be the same old loser against Ohio State that he's been. The problem is that Day has been a loser in big games. It's a question of which coach can actually change the narrative surrounding them after this game.

As much as everything seems to be pointing toward Penn State winning this game, I just can't see Franklin finally winning this big game. The Ohio State defense should play well enough to win this game at the end. They played much better last weekend against Nebraska.
Will Howard has really played some solid football in the last couple of weeks as well. I think his passing is really going to surprise the Nittany Lion defense. Howard is going to be able to redeem himself with a game-winning drive after what happened against Oregon.
