For the first time, maybe ever, the Ohio State football program has a highly-anticipated regular season matchup with the Indiana Hoosiers. IU beat the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship a year ago, taking away any chances OSU had of getting the number one seed in the College Football Playoff.
Since that loss, the Buckeyes have had this matchup circled on their calendar. They are the fifth-ranked team in the country, while the Hoosiers are ranked seventh. Ohio State has a loss, while IU is undefeated. We have you covered on how to watch this huge game.
How to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Indiana Hoosiers
The easiest way to watch this game is to tune into FOX at noon. They are the Big Noon Kickoff game. We have known that it was going to be a noon game for quite a while. This game can also be found on the FOX Sports App, FOX One, and it can be streamed live on Fubo TV.
This is going to be the toughest game that Ohio State has the rest of the way. It's the toughest environment that they will have to deal with, although IU fans aren't that loud. Indiana has looked beatable in each of the last two games they have played against Northwestern and Nebraska.
The Hoosiers won those games by a combined nine points. Quite frankly, they should have lost both of those games. However, the mark of a great team is being able to win close games against a bad team. Ohio State is the first ranked team that the Hoosiers have played this year.
Meanwhile, this will be the third ranked foe that the Buckeyes have played already. They are the more battle-tested team, and they are playing like one of the best teams in the country. Eddrick Houston has already sent a warning to Indiana, and the rest of the Buckeyes are ready for revenge.
Early prediction for Ohio State vs. Indiana
According to DraftKings, the Ohio State Buckeyes are 3.5-point favorites. It's clear that Vegas believes Ohio State is the better team, even on the road. Ohio State has shown the ability on both offense and defense to control every aspect of the game since the fourth-quarter collapse against Texas.
Ohio State has been waiting for this game since December of last year. Jeremiah Smith is the most unstoppable force in college football. He is going to leave Indiana dizzy with the way he is going to be able to get open down the field. IU doesn't have any cornerbacks who can even slow him down.
Defensively, the Buckeyes have been much better since the Illinois game. The rush defense has been much stronger. If Ohio State is able to fix the penalty problems that plagued them, they should be fine. If they have their starting offensive line intact, they'll win this game easily.
However, the health of Austin Siereveld is still up in the air. Phillip Daniels will almost certainly be back. Give me the Buckeyes 31-24 in what will be a fairly thrilling game.
