The Ohio State football program has a long history of landing the best receiver recruits in the country. Brian Hartline has established himself as the best recruiter in the country, and he pretty much is able to land any recruit that he wants. He's in the rare position of being able to hand-pick his recruits.
Hartline has already landed a five-star recruit for the 2026 class, getting a commitment from Chris Henry Jr. Henry Jr. will become just the latest five-star receiver to decide to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Hartline already turned his attention to the 2027 class for receivers.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are already trying to land one of the best receivers in the country. Monshun Sales is listed as the second-best receiver in the 2027 recruiting class. He is a five-star recruit, and he has already let everyone know he will be visiting the Buckeyes this Fall.
Monshun Sales will be visiting the Ohio State football program this Fall
Sales is a 6'5, 195-pound receiver out of Indianapolis. He attends Lawrence North High School, which is perhaps more famous to Ohio State fans for producing Greg Oden and Mike Conley for the basketball program. Sales has decided to visit the Buckeyes this Fall, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.
At this point, it's unclear which game he will visit. He will visit numerous other schools this Fall, including Indiana, Notre Dame, LSU, Texas A&M, and TTUN. Being able to land him and keep him away from TTUN would be a big win, especially with Ohio State's history at receiver.
It's still incredibly early in Sales' recruitment. He just received an offer from Ryan Day and the Buckeyes in May. As long as Hartline decides that they want to spend a lot of time trying to get him, they have to be considered the favorite to sign him.
Barring a massive NIL offer, and who knows what the NIL landscape will actually look like for the class of 2027, Ohio State has everything that Sales should want for a future school. They could give him everything he wants.
