The Ohio State football program is trying to finish off the 2026 recruiting class with some strength after some failures. They certainly haven't come to the critical time in the cycle yet, but they still have to figure out how to land more prospects. That will certainly be a big focus over the next few months.

The Buckeyes are still looking at 2026 prospects, but also have some 2027 recruits on their mind, as well. Ohio State is looking to add as much talent as it possibly can, and it will have multiple recruits on hand for a visit in the season opener against Texas.

You can add 2027 receiver Monshun Sales to the list of prospects who will be at that game. Sales had mentioned he would visit the Buckeyes in the Fall, but it seems that he has set an official visit for that opening weekend. It should be a fantastic atmosphere for him to observe.

Sales is rated as the second-best recruit in the country at the receiver position in the 2027 class. He is 6'5 and 195 pounds, and he has a lot of potential to be great. Brian Hartline knows what it takes to be great at the receiver position, as evidenced by the players he has brought in over the years.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are hoping to make a good impression, and that includes winning that first game against the Longhorns. Texas has revenge on its mind for that game after losing the Cotton Bowl against the Buckeyes. It's going to be a massive game with CFP implications early in the season.

It's the perfect atmosphere to bring in one of the top recruits in the country. Sales will also get to see how new offensive coordinator Brian Hartline calls plays.
