This weekend was one of the most important recruiting weekends of the year for the Ohio State football program. They had a ton of top prospects in town as they try to fill up their 2026 recruiting class. Right now, they have just 13 commitments for the 2026 class.
Despite the relatively low number of commits, they still have the third-best recruiting class in the country. They are hoping to have a few commitments coming out of this weekend, and it looks like they have a good chance at landing one on the offensive line.
Coming out of the weekend, three-star tackle Aaron Thomas is now predicted to choose the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is from Phoenix, Arizona, and is listed at 6'6 and 274 pounds. He would become the fourth offensive lineman to commit to the Buckeyes if he does choose Ohio State.
Aaron Thomas is now predicted to choose the Ohio State football program
Thomas is not the offensive lineman that Ohio State football fans were hoping to commit after this weekend. They are more concerned about five-star tackle Felix Ojo. If Thomas does end up committing, you have to wonder how that affects Ohio State's chances of landing Ojo.
As far as Thomas is concerned, he is more of a project than Ojo is. He needs some time to develop, even though he has good size for his position. He has all of the big boys after him, with Texas, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Auburn all in the running for him.
Ohio State hasn't gotten a commitment since just after the Spring Game, so it has been quite a while since they added someone for this class. If Thomas does choose the Buckeyes, the hope is that they can still land Ojo to finish off the offensive linemen in this class.
