Ohio State football team may have broken Michigan for good

If losing to Ohio State did truly set off the Sherrone Moore situation, the Buckeyes may have broken Michigan for good.

The Ohio State football program took down Michigan a couple of weeks ago in what was one of the most satisfying wins in the Ryan Day era. The Buckeyes won the game 27-9 and seemed to take their will. It was a great end to the regular season, and now they will prepare to win another national title.

Unfortunately, things have not gone so well for the Wolverines since that game. Sherrone Moore was arrested shortly after being fired by TTUN. Recruits have already started to ask for their release from their LOIs, and now they have to find a new coach after all of the good candidates are gone.

It seems that the Ohio State football program may have broken Michigan. By the looks of it, there's a chance that they did so permanently. This scandal is going to have lasting effects on Michigan, whether they want to believe it or not. They are going to have issues finding players who want to play in that kind of environment.

The Ohio State football team has taken a massive advantage over TTUN

With Moore gone, it's going to be very hard for Michigan to find a candidate who is good enough to make them a contender once again. In fact, they fired Moore shortly after all of the good candidates had either re-signed with their current schools or left for a better job.

Ohio State should feel great about its position in the rivalry moving forward. Ryan Day has clearly gotten the monkey off his back when it comes to winning that game. He will no longer coach that game uptight, and he should be able to get his team to win that game in the next few seasons.

Right now, Ohio State is focused on possibly poaching Michigan players who enter the Transfer Portal while they have three weeks to prepare for their first College Football Playoff game. They will worry about the next iteration of The Game later.
