The Ohio State football program has ramped up its recruiting efforts in the last couple of weeks ahead of the Spring Game. This is an important time for recruiting across the country. The Buckeyes are bringing recruits on campus so they can see how Spring practices work.

Once the Spring Game is here, the Buckeyes will have multiple prospects on campus for them to experience the game. They'll get a chance to see how many fans show up for a scrimmage six months before the actual season starts. The fans are very passionate, and that's a big selling point.

Right now, the Buckeyes don't have a very big 2026 recruiting class. That doesn't mean that they won't have a big class when it's all said in done. They only have one offensive lineman in the class right now, but they are now projected to add another.

The Ohio State football program is predicted to land Sam Greer

Four-star tackle Sam Greer is now predicted to choose the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is a tackle from Akron who stands at 6'6 and 310 pounds. He is one of many in-state offensive linemen that the Buckeyes have offered scholarships to now that Tyler Bowen is the offensive line coach.

Greer would become the second offensive lineman in this class for the Buckeyes. Maxwell Riley is the other commit that they have for the 2026 class, and he is also from the state of Ohio. Ohio State is still hoping to land some higher-ranked offensive line recruits who are out there.

It would be good if the Buckeyes can land Greer, they think he has a lot of potential, even if he's not the highest-ranked tackle in the country. Bowen thinks he can coach him up and turn him into a really good player at the collegiate level.
