The Ohio State football program has had a whirlwind Early Signing Day. Most of the recruits that they thought they would get have signed. They were able to keep TJ Alford to stay even though he was projected to flip. They were even able to flip Anthony Rogers from Alabama.

Ohio State was hoping to flip another four-star recruit, this time from UCLA. The Ohio State Buckeyes were hoping to get Epi Sitanilei from UCLA, a four-star defensive lineman. Sitanilei had been committed to the Bruins since June, but Ohio State made a late push for them.

The Buckeyes were able to land him just minutes after Alford signed as well. Ohio State has now flipped two recruits so far and is hoping for more. With the news that David Sanders Jr. is no longer signing on Wednesday, that gives them hope that they can land him.

Sitanilei is from Southern California and is a big kid. He stands at 6'5 but just 220 pounds, so he'll need to add some bulk. That shouldn't be too much of an issue for him once he gets to Columbus. As an edge guy, his speed is what makes him so dangerous.

Adding him to the defensive line that desperately needs depth is huge for the Buckeyes. After some light recruiting classes up front on the defensive line in each of the last couple of years, they need to add some more guys to help with the depth. Getting Sitanilei helps with that.

Ohio State is shaping up to have a really solid recruiting class. It may not be the best in the country like many hoped for earlier in the year, but it's still a really good class with some guys who are going to contribute to this team right away.
