Some recent bad news for Dabo Swinney and Clemson could lead to a major recruiting win for Ryan Day and Ohio State football. As fans have read this week, there are some big-name recruits making their way to Columbus to watch the Buckeyes face Minnesota.

You can go ahead and add pass-rusher Dre Quinn to the list. According to reporter Allen Trieu, Quinn has locked in an unofficial visit with the Buckeyes and he's headed to town this weekend. Quinn recently backed off his pledge to Clemson and multiple teams have raced to catch his attention. Day is hoping a couple of days at Ohio State will ultimately lead to him being Big Ten-bound:
Confirmed that recent Clemson decommit Dre Quinn will be at Ohio State this weekend.

4-star EDGE Dre Quinn is taking a visit to Ohio State this weekend
As soon as Quinn backed off his pledge to the Tigers, speculation arrived that the touted pass-rusher might be a strong lean to either Tennessee or Texas - two programs he had recent visits with. However, the Buckeyes have stepped in here and they're ready to toss their hat into the ring.
Landing Quinn isn't going to be easy for anyone, as he's a talented playmaker and he holds nearly 40 offers. The 6-4, 230-pounder is ranked four stars, the No. 35 EDGE in the country and No. 395 player nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.
Thus far for the '26 group, Day and Ohio State hold 21 known verbals. There's one EDGE on board, with 4-star Khary Wilder being Columbus-bound. Will Quinn end up joining Wilder and the others suiting up for Ohio State come next season?
That's something Ohio State fans are wondering as well about the two official visitors in town for the Minnesota game: cornerback Khmari Bing and safety Jacob Curry. That also won't be easy, especially with Alabama going hard after Bing (a Maryland commit) and Curry seeing his recruitment take off over the past month. Still, let's see what Day will be able to get done here.
