Fresh off a dominant win over the Washington Huskies in Seattle last week, the Ohio State football team is back in Columbus now ready to take on Minnesota at The Shoe. On the field, Ryan Day and Co. are ready to make some noise and a convincing win could help recruiting out in a big way.

There are two known official visitors for Saturday, including standout cornerback Khmari Bing - linebacker Jacob Curry is the other. The 6-0, 190-pounder has been committed to Maryland since August 2024, but Day and the Buckeyes are working to get him to change his mind. Could a memorable visit in Columbus lead to him flipping his decision?

Ohio State building a recruiting fence around Ohio is paying huge dividends

Maryland commit Khmari Bing is all set to visit Ohio State football this weekend

The Buckeyes currently hold 21 verbals for the 2026 class, but there's no cornerback on the list just yet. Might Bing end up being CB No. 1 for the '26 haul? That remains to be seen, but a head-turning experience on campus this weekend indeed could send the Buckeyes over the top.

Things aren't going to be easy there, however, as Bing is a standout for the St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, which is about 45 minutes away from the University of Maryland. Not only that, but the Alabama Crimson Tide are also making a move to land Bing as well.

Kalen DeBoer holds a commitment from 5-star St. Frances Academy safety Jireh Edwards, who is doing his part in helping the Tide win out on Bing. Bing has scheduled an official visit with Alabama for early November, with Edwards set to be in his ear until then.

Despite that, Ohio State is getting the first shot at turning his head this weekend and a lopsided win over the Gophers is expected to be posted. It's not going to be easy for Ohio State and the Buckeyes to ultimately sign Bing in December, but how things go in the coming days will surely have a sizable impact on the CB's recruitment one way or another. Keep an eye on him moving forward, Ohio State fans.
