The Ohio State football program is trying its best to have an epic 2027 recruiting class. At the moment, they have just the seventh-best class in the country. A big reason for that is that they have just 11 commits so far. There is a chance that this is a smaller class, but Ryan Day wants it to be one that is full of talent.

One of the top players on their recruiting board is five-star running back David Gabriel Georges. Georges is listed as the 10th-best recruit in the country. He is someone that the Buckeyes have been pushing hard for, especially over the last few weeks.

Georges has an official visit scheduled for the end of the month, which will be Ohio State's chance to land a commitment from him. Even before he is on campus, the Ohio State Buckeyes have decided to send an all-out blitz to try to get him to sign in Columbus.

Pretty much the entire offensive staff visited Georges at his high school. The only coach who wasn't there to visit with him is Ryan Day.

If there is any indication that Ohio State really wants him, this is it. Sending everyone on the offense to his high school is a great sign that they are trying everything they possibly can to bring him to Columbus. Of course, NIL money will certainly play a big part in this, as well.

Ohio State is not the only big school in pursuit of this elite, five-star recruit. Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss are all hot on his tail, as well. Pulling him out of the SEC will be tough for the Buckeyes, but they have done that before with multiple recruits. They seem to be prepared to go the distance to grab him.

Running back is the one skill position that they don't have a generational guy at. Jeremiah Smith kills it at receiver, and Julian Sayin is a fantastic quarterback. Adding an elite running back would really make this offense tough to stop in future seasons.
