The Ohio State football program is trying to have one of the best recruiting classes in the country. After they had a solid 2026 recruiting class, the Buckeyes are trying to win a recruiting national championship. That is something they have never been able to do.
After bringing in the best recruit for the 2027 class, Ohio State is hoping to land multiple other five-star recruits in this class. One of the areas of focus for Ryan Day and his staff is the offensive line. After the 2026 season, they will be losing four starters up front.
Five-star offensive line recruit Maxwell Hiller is a player that the Ohio State Buckeyes have been recruiting hard. In fact, he has already made a visit to Columbus. Now, he has made a big jump up the recruiting rankings and has a list of final four schools he will be choosing between.

Hiller is now ranked as a 5-star+ recruit by Rivals and is listed as the best interior offensive lineman in the country. Adding him to the Buckeyes' roster would be ideal for a team that struggled in the trenches in the latter part of the 2025 season, ultimately ending their season.
Other than Ohio State, Hiller is also considering Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama. The Buckeyes are the only non-SEC school that Hiller is considering. Hiller is from Pennsylvania, so Ohio State is hoping that will give them an advantage in his recruitment moving forward.
It's still unclear when Hiller will make his final collegiate decision. He still has a lot of time until he has to do that, considering Signing Day is still so far away for the 2027 class. Ohio State will have a lot of work to do in order to keep its recruits happy.
