The Ohio State football team has not had a strong month when it comes to the recruiting trail. They haven't been able to land most of the top-rated recruits on their board. They have been passed over multiple times by four and five-star recruits. It has forced them to slide down recruiting rankings.

Despite the struggle from the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail, they feel good about the commits that they have right now. One of their recruits just vaulted up the recruiting rankings and could end up being a five-star recruit by the time things are all said and done.

Tackle Sam Greer put on a heck of a show during the Rivals Five-Star Camp, and that helped him in a big way when it comes to the most updated rankings from Rivals. Now, Greer is a borderline five-star recruit, jumping up more than more than lot of other recruits in the rankings.

Greer jumped up from being ranked 96th overall to 14th. He will now likely be a five-star recruit by the time the next version of Rivals' rankings comes out. Greer isn't the only recruit that the Ohio State Buckeyes have who made a massive jump. Defensive lineman Khary Wilder also made a massive jump in the rankings. I

It's good that the Buckeyes have two guys on this list because they don't have the strongest recruiting class of the Ryan Day era. Ohio State continues to slide down the rankings, which is not something they want to be doing this summer.

Ohio State still has a lot of time to help improve its class ranking. There are still a few four and five-star recruits that they are hoping to land between now and Signing Day. The Buckeyes have had a top-five class every year since Ryan Day has taken over as head coach.
