Tyler Bowen has been extremely active on the recruiting trail for the Ohio State football program. He has not been shy when it comes to offering scholarships on the offensive line. He wants to create more depth for the Buckeyes after years of not taking enough recruits.
Bowen has scholarship offers for recruits all over the country for the 2026 recruiting class. The Ohio State Buckeyes are still in the mix for some four and five-star recruits up front, something that they haven't been able to do in quite a few years. One four-star recruit has recently named Ohio State as one of his final schools.
Four-star offensive lineman Drew Evers has the Buckeyes in his final list of schools. Bowen already has three offensive line commits for the 2026 class, but Bowen will likely take at least two more guys. Evers could be someone he looks at to help with the interior.
Drew Evers has the Ohio State football program in his final list of schools
Other than Ohio State, Evers has SMU, LSU, Penn State, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma on his list. He isn't the highest-rated four-star offensive lineman, but he is still 6'4 and 285 pounds. He is someone that Bowen believes can develop into a starting offensive lineman in a couple of years.
Evers will be visiting Ohio State in a couple of weeks. That will be their big chance of landing a commitment. It has been a while since Ohio State has had a commitment of any kind, so they would love to have Evers decide he wants to be in Columbus for his collegiate experience.
Bowen is still looking for a truly great recruit. He has some really big fish out there that he is trying to reel in. Things should take shape within the next couple of weeks.
