The Ohio State football program lost more players to the Transfer Portal than it had ever before. They lost 31 players to various programs once their season ended against Miami. It was a game that they were expected to win en route to winning back-to-back national championships.
Instead, they lost, and the Buckeyes ended up losing a lot of players. The Ohio State Buckeyes lost five receivers off last year's team, including four of them to the portal. Two of them decided to head to Notre Dame and play for former Ohio State linebacker Marcus Freeman.
Both Mylan Graham and Quincy Porter were former five-star recruits. One of them has already started making a positive impression on his new coaching staff. Notre Dame has recently started spring practice, and Graham is already getting high marks for what he's done.

Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock had some nice things to say about Graham after practice, seemingly indicating that he is going to get a lot of playing time in the Fall.
"Early impressions are explosive, twitchy, competitive. ... The tools are there for him to make a strong contribution."
Graham is an Indiana native, so he's hoping that transferring back to his home state will help him out. Graham was set to see more playing time this year with the Buckeyes if he had stayed. Instead, he felt better about what the Fighting Irish could offer him.
Ohio State is hoping to make him regret his decision if these two teams meet in the College Football Playoff. Ryan Day has never lost to Notre Dame in his head coaching career. He has beaten Marcus Freeman three times in a row. Notre Dame believes it will be able to make the CFP this year after missing it last year.
Vegas is less confident in the Buckeyes, even though the players and coaching staff feel great about winning a lot of games again.
