The Transfer Portal already has over 1,000 players in it since opening on Friday. Multiple Ohio State football players have already made the decision to enter the portal after the season ended in embarrassing fashion in the Cotton Bowl. The Buckeyes have started bringing players in for visits, as well.
Most of the players who have decided to leave the Ohio State Buckeyes haven't been massive impact players. On Sunday, Ohio State actually got its first commitment from the Transfer Portal in 2026, adding Mason Williams from Ohio University.
Shortly after that, the Buckeyes lost someone who had a shot to make a major impact next season. Former five-star receiver Mylan Graham has decided to leave for the Transfer Portal after two seasons with the Buckeyes. He will have three years of eligibility left.
Former five-star Ohio State receiver recruit Mylan Graham enters the portal
Graham was brought in in the 2024 recruiting class, expecting to be the next great Ohio State receiver. He had a lot of talented receivers in front of him on the depth chart, so he redshirted in 2024. After an impressive Spring Game this past season, he was expected to have a larger role.
Instead, Graham had just six catches for 93 yards this season. He didn't even play much when Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate were injured late in the year. At that point, it looked like the writing was on the wall for what the coaching staff thought of Graham as a player.
Instead of trying to stick around and make things work, Graham has decided to enter the portal and look for an opportunity elsewhere. Ohio State still has a receiver room full of very good players. They also have Deandre Moore making a visit this weekend, which could signal a commitment from him.
Graham is the first real player to leave in the portal who could have had a shot to make an impact next year. There are still quite a few days for more players to enter the Transfer Portal if they want to.
