Ohio State Buckeyes center Carson Hinzman is going into his fifth year in Columbus and knows firsthand what a buy-in means for a Ryan Day-coached team. Without mentioning Day directly, Hinzman offered a peek into the offensive line's personal sacrifice this spring.

As Hinzman explained, guys like Ian Moore and Carter Lowe are shifting across the line to find the best possible position to fit into the team's needs. Playing out of position, of course, can affect draft position in the future. Day still has these guys believing in team success over anything else.

"We have a ton of confidence. Whoever we have on the field, we have to understand we're the offense of the Ohio State Buckeyes. So you've got to have a little bit of swagger too about that," Hinzman said to Bucknuts. "And regardless of what position you are and you are the starting right tackle or you're either starting the left tackle or something like that. And I think those guys understand that. They understand how important it is to be able to put on the scarlet and gray and wear those Buckeyes stickers on your helmet and stuff like that.

"And so I don't think it really necessarily in the grand scheme matters who we have out there right now because they understand what needs to be done, how the job needs to be done, and they're going to give 100% effort to do it. So I trust those guys."

Ryan Day has the best chance of having CFB's next dynasty

For the past year and change since winning the national championship, it's had to be nice being Day. He has two NFL head coaches as his coordinators these days, endless resources at the Ohio State University, and most importantly, the respect of his team. Very few teams have been able to be as ego-less as the Buckeyes. Controversy doesn't leak out of this football program as it does in other places around the country.

Because of that, Day has a program that is best-positioned to become the next dynasty in the sport. In the NIL/rev-share era, title hoarding doesn't really happen anymore, but OSU is the likeliest two-peat and the likeliest to win two titles in three years of anyone.

The Buckeyes are in this position because not only is there money to dole out, but there's a proof-of-concept to buy into.
