This player might be the most impressive player that the Buckeyes have had on defense this season.

The Ohio State football team walked out of Seattle with another win on the season, taking them down 24-9. The Buckeyes were once again dominant on the defensive end of the field. Matt Patricia has come in and not missed a beat from what the defense did last season.

On Saturday afternoon, the defensive line was very good. Caden Curry stood out among those players, having 11 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks. He had the best game of his career and finally gave the Ohio State Buckeyes some hope of a pass rush.

While Curry was fantastic, there was one player who stood out on tape and has stood out on tape throughout this entire season. That player is linebacker Arvell Reese, who continues to thrive in a new defensive system. Now that he's a starter, he's one of the best players on the team.

Arvell Reese is proving to be a star in Ohio State's new system

Reese finished this game with five tackles, but the ones he made were incredibly impressive in big spots. Take a look at the clip below and just watch the incredible amount of athleticism that it requires to make this play.

I thought that they would use Reese as a spy a fair amount against Demond Williams Jr., and that's exactly what they did in this game. They didn't want him to run all over the field, especially when things got tight in the red zone. That's when the defense did its best work.

They were able to do their best work because of how good Reese is. Closing speed like that made it impossible for the Huskies to run their best plays near the end zone. That's why they were held without a touchdown and were forced to try one of the most bizarre fake field goals anyone's ever seen.

Reese is only going to get better as the season goes along. He continues to raise his draft stock, something no one even thought of heading into the year.
