The Ohio State football program has been trying to flip recruits in the 2026 recruiting class over the last few weeks. After missing out on some top-shelf recruits early in the cycle, they are trying to make up for that just a couple of months before Signing Day.

With James Franklin being fired, the Buckeyes have looked at some recruits that the Nittany Lions had secured in this class. Florida also fired Billy Napier, and those recruits seem like they are up for grabs, as well. Ohio State had its attention on Penn State recruits, but now they are looking at Gator recruits.

It looks like the Ohio State Buckeyes have already offered someone who is committed to Florida. Tim Walton is looking to add some depth to the cornerback room, as he has officially offered four-star cornerback recruit CJ Bronaugh, according to Garrick Hodge of Bucknuts.. Bronaugh has been committed to Florida since June.

Bronaugh is from Windemere, Florida, so pulling him out of his home state won't be easy. He initially chose the Gators over Florida State, so he didn't have any schools outside of the state of Florida that he was really considering. Florida State looks like a mess, too, though. Nebraska also made his final list.

Walton and the Buckeyes want to take at least one more cornerback in this class. Right now, they have four-star athlete Jordan Thomas and three-star Khmari Bing as the only corners in the class. There's a shot that Ohio State tries to add two more, but they have made it a priority to get at least one more.

Bonaugh stands at 6'1 and 166 pounds. He certainly has some raw talent and instincts, but he needs coaching in order to refine those skills. Still, his athleticism is something that intrigues Walton and Ryan Day. They are willing to put the work in to coach him up.

If they can get him on campus for a visit late in the season, they have a shot to flip him. He seems open to other schools, even though he hasn't de-committed from the Gators yet.
