The Ohio State football team is one weekend away from one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the Spring. The Spring Game is next weekend, so the Buckeyes will have plenty of prospects on campus for the game. Right now, they have the fourth-best recruiting class in the country.

It's very early in the recruiting cycle. The Ohio State Buckeyes have already had a couple of wins on the trail, including adding the top player in the class. Of course, they have also had a couple of losses, as well. A few recruits have decided to head elsewhere.

One program in particular has been a thorn in Ohio State's side when it comes to recruiting thus far. That program is Oregon, which already stole one recruit from the Buckeyes. On Sunday afternoon, they stole another one, landing one of the best cornerbacks in the country.

Ohio State football team misses out on Josiah Molden

Josiah Molden is considered the best cornerback in the state of Oregon. He is a four-star recruit and someone the Buckeyes were hoping to bring in. Unfortunately for them, he has decided to stay home. He has chosen Oregon over Ohio State, Texas, and Washington.

It's not super shocking that Oregon kept him home. It would have been hard for Ohio State to pull him out of the Pacific Northwest. Still, it was something they were hoping for. It would have been nice to steal the best player from the Ducks with him being right in their own backyard.

That doesn't mean that Ohio State doesn't have other cornerback recruits that they can still land. There are plenty of other guys in the secondary that Tim Walton can earn a commitment from. Of course, he did land Jay Timmons and Devin Sanchez in back-to-back classes, which is very impressive.

Next weekend should see the Buckeyes earn some commitments from some really good recruits once they see the Spring Game.
