Is there some late magic coming from the Ohio State football team and Ryan Day? Hey, maybe AD Ross Bjork is ready to break the bank for a 5-star target that the Buckeyes desperately want. Come Thursday night, everyone will find out where safety Bralan Womack is headed.
For a little while now, all signs have been pointing to Auburn capturing his verbal pledge. Florida was even high on his list, with the Gators making a strong case to get him. However, recent reports state that Ohio State isn't ready to go down without swinging. Is there hope for the Buckeyes to pull this one off?

Ohio State football is still pushing to land 5-star safety Bralan Womack over Auburn
Never say never. When it comes to recruiting, anything can happen. Back in the spring, Womack turned plenty of heads when he said that following a trip to Columbus, Ohio State was his top school. However, a lot has changed in the past five months.
Hugh Freeze and the Tigers have made him a top priority and it feels like the Buckeyes, Gators and Texas A&M Aggies are all playing a bit of catch up - those are his four finalists. Ohio State is hoping history doesn't repeat itself, as 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson spurned the Buckeyes just two months after saying Ohio State was his top school.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Womack is ranked five stars, the No. 1 safety in the country, No. 2 player from Mississippi and No. 15 prospect overall for the 2026 class. Throughout his recruitment, he has picked up a total of 34 offers.
Day and the Buckeyes already have a 5-star safety on board in Blaine Bradford, but lately there's been plenty of concern that he could end up flipping to LSU and stay home in Baton Rouge. His older brother playing for Brian Kelly sure complicates things. In a perfect world, both Bradford and Womack will head to Columbus next year. Soon enough, we'll see what Womack decides. Yes, Auburn is the clear favorite, but don't rule out the Buckeyes here just yet.
