It goes without saying, but several teams are hoping to land the commitment of 5-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo this recruiting cycle. He's an elite prospect and Ohio State is hoping that he'll give the program the news it's hoping for.

It's not going to be easy for the Buckeyes, though, as Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and others are hoping to land his services. Despite Texas being considered a small favorite at this time, it doesn't mean Day and his coaches aren't ready to just give in.

This week, offensive line coach Tyler Bowen made the trip from Columbus to Texas to check in on the big-time target. Bowen surely let Ojo know that the Buckeyes want him bad and that he could help the team continue to push for trophies down the road:

Ohio State continues to push for 5-star OT Felix Ojo

Ojo is no stranger to visiting Ohio State and he'll be back in town on May 30 for his official visit. That's not the only official that he's going to be taking, however, as the 6-6, 275-pounder will also be taking OVs to Colorado, Michigan, Texas and Oklahoma - he also previously visited Ole Miss.

Ojo is one of the top uncommitted prospects out there. He's ranked five stars, the No. 3 offensive tackle, No. 1 player from Texas and No. 7 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. Throughout his recruitment, he has racked up 49 offers. Yeah, every powerhouse in the country wants him.

While things remain a bit open for him, the strong belief is that this will come down to a battle between the Longhorns and Buckeyes. On one hand, the lure of staying home and playing for Steve Sarkisian and Texas appeals to Ojo.

With that said, playing for the Ohio State brand and pushing for national titles every season would be a great opportunity too. There's no set timeframe for when Ojo will be making his decision, but Ohio State looks to be in a pretty dang good spot for him.
