As the Ohio State football team comes off its final bye week of the season, they don't play many other good teams in the regular season. TTUN is the only other school they play that is ranked right now. That game is always a noon kick, so the Buckeyes have that one to look forward to.

After this week against Penn State, the Ohio State Buckeyes play Purdue, UCLA, and Rutgers before taking on Michigan. TV executives won't exactly be clamoring to get any of those games. Next week's game against Purdue has announced the kickoff time, and it's the strangest one yet.

Ohio State has played games at noon, 3:30, 7, and 7:30 this season. Those are all standard kickoff times in college football. Next week against the Boilermakers, the Buckeyes will be playing at a kickoff time that is normally reserved for NFL games on Sunday.

The Ohio State football team will play Purdue at 1 pm

The Buckeyes will play in West Lafayette at 1 pm ET. The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, as well. It's very unusual for a Big Ten game to have a kickoff at that time, especially for two teams that play in the Eastern time zone. Usually, a game like that would be at noon.

This is certainly the strangest kickoff time that Ohio State has had so far this season. It makes sense that it's a Big Ten Network game, since the Boilermakers are one of the worst teams in the conference. Still, the 1 pm kickoff time is an odd choice.

No matter what time the game starts, the Buckeyes will be ready to go. Purdue stinks, and Ohio State is the top-ranked team in the country. They are the best, most complete team in the country. It could be another blowout next week. Right now, they are focused on taking care of business against the Nittany Lions.
