LeBron James is one of the most famous Ohio State football fans in the world. He is from Northeast Ohio, so his love for the Buckeyes makes sense. He has followed them pretty much his entire life, and he has gifted the Ohio State Buckeyes with headphones, cleats, and other various gifts over the years.
Jeremiah Smith is the best player Ohio State has, and he might be the best player in all of college football. He is the most famous player that the Buckeyes have on their roster, too. He has a wide reach on social media, and he had a social media post that dissed James.
Ohio State football fans think LeBron James forced Jeremiah Smith to delete a tweet
For those who missed it, Smith signed an NIL deal with Adidas. Ohio State is a Nike school, and James is one of Nike's most famous athletes and spokespeople. Smith had a social media post that seemed to diss James, and it has now been removed. Here is the tweet for those who missed it.

Anyone who has followed the NBA in the last 20 years knows that James is one of the most sensitive athletes in all of sports. He likes to see himself in the news and also doesn't take kindly to criticism about his legacy. This tweet seems to do just that.
Smith deleted this social media post a few hours after putting it out there. Ohio State fans are convinced that James' team forced him to delete the post.
Klutch Mafia is real. The Jeremiah Smith post siding with Kobe & MJ over LeBron James was taken down.... https://t.co/ud6ztWpssH

It would be hilarious if it were ever revealed that James' team called Ohio State and forced Smith to take it down. It's a ridiculous thing for him to care about, especially at this point in James' career. He needs to focus on playing better in the playoffs than what Smith is putting on social media.
It's unlikely that Smith ever addresses why he put that social media post up in the first place, but it doesn't really matter. He's the best player in college football, so tweeting something harmless like that is no big deal.
