Ohio State football player Jeremiah Smith made some interesting comments recently about TTUN. He essentially said that he was finished losing to Michigan. He lost to TTUN in his first matchup against that team last November. The Buckeyes have lost four straight to them, though.

It has been the biggest negative on Ryan Day's resume up to this point. He has just one win against Michigan as the head coach. Smith is determined to make sure that doesn't happen anymore. However, a new 2026 Michigan recruit has guaranteed that won't happen.

Cornerback recruit Dorian Barney has guaranteed that he won't lose to Ohio State during his collegiate career with the Wolverines. That would mean that Smith would lose at least one more time during his career, during Barney's freshman year next season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes seemed to turn a corner after losing to TTUN last season. That loss seemed to fuel them to the four-game CFP run that they went on to win the national championship. It was the wake-up call that they needed, but not the one that they wanted.

Barney, a young kid, seems to think that Ohio State will never swing the rivalry back in their favor, a rivalry that they dominated for two decades. The Buckeyes should be back to beating TTUN next season now that Day has recognized that calling the offense aggressively is the way to go.

Smith is the best player in college football, so he certainly won't be ignored in The Game as the Buckeyes did in the matchup last season. He will be a focal point of the game plan, just as he should be. Even though the game is at Michigan this season, Smith is going to be a big factor.
