The Ohio State football team has been on a tear thus far building its 2026 class. Could the program end up landing 5-star safety Bralan Womack this summer too? That's what countless fans out there are hoping for, but it's not going to be easy.

Womack is an elite prospect and he's got a boatload of schools chasing his verbal. He'll be at Ohio State on June 20 for his official visit, which will surely make a big impact on his process. Just recently, some good news came in for the Buckeyes faithful, as recruiting insider Adam Gorney put in his official prediction for Ryan Day to land Womack. Obviously, this would be a huge get:

Ohio State fans everywhere are hopeful 5-star DB Bralan Womack will commit

While Womack is only rated four stars by Rivals, he's ranked five stars, the No. 1 safety, the No. 2 player from Mississippi and No. 21 prospect nationally per the 247Sports Composite. Womack is quite high on Ohio State, with Day hoping his upcoming visit can help send things over the top.

Columbus isn't the only visit on the way, though, as additional OVs are coming to Texas A&M and Auburn. The 5-11, 195-pounder previously took a visit to meet with Billy Napier and Florida as well. As things stand, Womack will be ready to announce his college choice on Aug. 22 - he's set to do so live with 247Sports.

Leading up to his commitment date in August, there's surely going to be plenty of speculation over how things will go down for him. For now, Ohio State appears to be a slight favorite, but the other teams getting an OV from him will look to make up ground.

With Womack being the top-ranked safety in the country, it only adds to the intrigue for this battle between college football powerhouses. Day and Co. are ready to come out on top against the other finalists. We'll have to wait a little while for the final decision to come in, but don't be surprised if Womack ends up being Columbus-bound in 2026.
