The Ohio State football program has already landed two safeties in the 2026 recruiting class. That includes the top safety in the country. In general, the Buckeyes have ten commitments for the 2026 class, and they currently have the third-best class in the country.
That doesn't mean that they can't increase that ranking as time goes on. In fact, that is their goal. Right now, they have two five-star recruits in the class. They are trying to land a couple of others, too. One of them now has the Ohio State Buckeyes at the top of his list.
Five-star safety Bralan Womack is the second-best safety in the country. He is 5'11 and weighs 195 pounds. He is the second-best overall recruit in the state of Mississippi. Womack has indicated that he has the Buckeyes at the top of his school list at this point in his recruitment.

Womack would give the Buckeyes a third five-star recruit in this 2026 class. He still has a lot of other official visits that he will be taking before he visits Columbus. He has visits scheduled to Florida, Texas A&M, and Auburn before he will be in Columbus at the end of June.
Ohio State has been on fire lately when it comes to recruiting. When they play the Spring Game next weekend, they might get a couple of more commitments. Of course, the challenge in the NIL age of recruiting is to hold on to all of these recruits until December when they sign.
Right now, the Buckeyes are not worried about that. They are worried about getting as many good recruits to verbally commit as possible. They are also worried about getting better as the Spring comes to an end.
