It isn't often that a fanbase can laugh at an offensive coordinator, turning the focus away from a head coach or athlete.
However, as soon as Michigan OC Chip Lindsey admitted to watching high school film, that's exactly what the Ohio State Buckeyes got to do.
Lindsey, who joined the Michigan staff during the offseason, shared that he watches quarterback Bryce Underwood's high school film to help him optimize the Wolverine offense. Simply put, he has no idea what he's doing with the young QB.
Underwood was the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2025 and quickly cemented his place as the starting quarterback of the Michigan Wolverines. Yet, he has thrown just one touchdown, and the Michigan coaching staff seemingly doesn't know how to use him best.
Meanwhile, the Buckeyes' first-year starting quarterback, Julian Sayin, has excelled through the first two weeks of the season, including an extremely impressive performance in Week 1 against the dominant defense of the Texas Longhorns.
Michigan’s new OC doesnt know how to use Bryce Underwood and needs to watch his high school tape

YIKES. https://t.co/HRpBdchG8e
So far, Underwood has just 393 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and has lost six yards on the ground. Meanwhile, Sayin has 432 yards and five touchdowns already.
Lindsey's admission to having to watch Underwood's high school tape is beyond embarrassing for the Wolverines. Why recruit one of the best athletes in the country if your program doesn't know how to actually utilize him?
It's simply laughable. It's unfortunate for Underwood, who could have gone to any of the top college football programs in the country and truly excelled under the guidance of brilliant offensive coordinators.
So far, the Wolverines are 1-1, losing to the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 2. When Michigan faced the No. 18 Sooners, Underwood earned less than 150 yards through the air, and the Wolverines' only touchdown in the game came from running back Justice Haynes, not the five-star QB.
Ohio State faces Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 29, when the Buckeyes' top-tier defense will give Underwood one of the biggest tests of his very young career.
