In Week 3 of the NFL season, Ohio State football players had another big day. It seems that every weekend, there is someone who played for the Ohio State Buckeyes who is making a massive impact on a game. That happened again on Sunday, especially for running backs and receivers.
Quinshon Judkins was the leading story. After the worst possible start to his career, Judkins has now played well in each of his first two games of the season. In an upset win against the Green Bay Packers, Judkins finished the game with 18 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Judkins wasn't the only former Buckeye running back who had himself a solid game. The Broncos lost to the Chargers on Sunday, but it wasn't J.K. Dobbins' fault. He was fantastic, running the ball 11 times for 83 yards and a score. Dobbins is once again proving he's a great running back when he's healthy.
Ohio State receivers show out during Week 3 of the NFL season
We told you about Emeka Egbuka's crazy catch against the Jets. He was also key on the Buccaneers' game-winning drive, catching a 28-yard pass to start off the drive. Egbuka finished the game with six catches for 85 yards. He had the most targets on the team, as well.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to benefit from Sam Darnold being the starting quarterback in Seattle. He had five catches for 96 yards in a score while the Seahawks crushed the Saints. He is the best offensive player on the roster for the Seahawks.
Garrett Wilson was excellent in a losing effort, which has been a theme of his young NFL career so far. He had 10 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in a heartbreaking loss to Tampa Bay. Wilson is trying everything he can to win games for the Jets, but it's been futile.
A defensive Buckeye also had a solid performance this weekend. Tyquan Lewis is finally healthy and had a huge game for the 3-0 Indianapolis Colts. He finished the game with three tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. He wrecked the Titans' offensive line all game long.
Every week, the Buckeyes have guys play well in the NFL from the receiver position. It has become increasingly clear that they are the best place to develop receivers. It's why they are able to land almost any receiver they want.
