The Ohio State football program has a new approach to recruiting offensive linemen. They have decided to offer many more scholarships to guys than Justin Frye did. Whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen, but the Buckeyes need depth up front.

Tyler Bowen has already landed quite a few offensive line recruits up to this point. In fact, the Ohio State Buckeyes have more offensive linemen than any other position group. That continued on Wednesday night after they landed another offensive line recruit.

Aaron Thomas, a three-star offensive lineman from Arizona, chose the Buckeyes over Texas A&M on Wednesday night. The Aggies made a late charge for him, but he decided to still choose Tyler Bowen and the Ohio State Buckeyes. That gives them another offensive lineman for this class.

Thomas stands at 6'7 and 300 pounds, so he is very large. He is someone that Bowen and the rest of the offensive staff believe can develop into a good player. While he isn't highly rated, he has a lot of potential, and that is something that Bowen is banking on with him.

Adding Thomas gives the Buckeyes 17 commitments for the 2026 recruiting class. He also becomes the fourth offensive lineman in this class. There's a chance that the Buckeyes could take up to six offensive linemen to combat the lack of depth they have up front at the moment.

That's something that Bowen has clearly focused on since coming to Ohio State. He wants to get a stable of offensive linemen up front in case there are injuries, just as there were last year. There are still a couple of really good offensive linemen that they are hoping to land.

Ohio State has been very pleased with what they've gotten from Bowen so far. They'd be even happier if they could land Felix Ojo, too.
