The Ohio State football team has had a different approach to recruiting on the offensive line this year than they have in the past. Tyler Bowen has changed how the Buckeyes are recruiting in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball. He is sending out a lot more scholarship offers than Justin Frye.

One of the recruits that he has been trying to land is five-star tackle Felix Ojo. Ojo is listed as the second-best tackle in the country and is someone Ohio State has been trying to grab for a long time. He is worth all of the hype, as he might end up being the best tackle in this class when it's all said and done.

Ojo has been listed as a Texas lean for a while on all of the major recruiting services. Based on some new information from him, it sounds like the Ohio State Buckeyes are more than in it as far as his recruitment goes. He has said that Ohio State and Texas are his top two schools.

The Ohio State football team still has a massive chance to land five-star recruit Felix Ojo

The Buckeyes have been frugal with their NIL budget so far in this class. They don't typically get into bidding wars for prospects, but this is one that they would consider doing so for. Ojo is someone who could start for them day one on campus. He's that good of a coach.

Bowen has changed the game in terms of how many scholarships he's been offering. He has not been shy offering them around, and he shouldn't. Adding Ojo to the class would be a great way to start Bowen's coaching career with the Buckeyes.

Texas is still the favorite, but Ohio State now has some life. They need this chance to land a blue-chip recruit up front and have a foundational player on the offensive line.
