The Ohio State football team has lost four straight games to TTUN. It's the biggest issue hanging over Ryan Day's head, even though he just won the national championship. As the defending national champions, they still have a lot to be proud of what they did last year.
For some fans of the Buckeyes, no season is complete without beating Michigan. Michigan fans have gotten too chesty with their smack talk, too, even though Ohio State won the title last year. The Buckeyes have to find a way to win that game this year in Ann Arbor.
One former college football coach thinks that the game is too much in Ohio State's head. Former Alabama coach Nick Saban believes that the Buckeyes are essentially too crazy about The Game for them to take down the Wolverines.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Nick Saban essentially called the Buckeyes too obsessed with the game, and that's why they keep losing.
NEW: Nick Saban criticizes Ohio State for having a 'psychological disposition about Michigan'

“Ohio State getting beat by Michigan last year probably had as much to do with them winning a national championship as anything... They got this psychological disposition about Michigan that’s just killing them, killing them.”
Saban is right that the Buckeyes have been obsessed with TTUN, but that's how the rivalry has always been. This is not something that is unique to the Ryan Day era. All of the coaches before him have wanted to destroy Michigan. Other coaches have done a better job of achieving that goal, though.
Day seems to have learned his lesson from what happened in The Game last year when they refused to throw the ball to their established weapons on the outside. They tried to just run the ball up the middle, which is what TTUN stops the best on defense.
Once Day became more aggressive with his play-calling, the Buckeyes went on a historic run during the College Football Playoff. They were unstoppable on offense, so Day knows what it takes to win at the highest level with the roster that he has. He won't make the same mistake against TTUN.
Even with losing streak, Day will show up in Ann Arbor supremely confident to win that game. Saban is wrong about why the Buckeyes keep losing. Day was just too tight coaching in that game, and he has loosened up now.
