Former Ohio State football player Quinshon Judkins was arrested on Saturday night on domestic violence charges. It was the biggest news in the state of Ohio because of the fact that he played for the Buckeyes and now plays for the Cleveland Browns.
Judkins still hasn't signed his rookie contract, which means that his guaranteed money is in trouble. He was holding out to get more guaranteed money, but that might not end up being the best move. We do have some more details regarding his arrest, but everything is still alleged.
New details emerge about former Ohio State football player Quinshon Judkins' arrest
During the bond hearing, it came out that the alleged incident happened back on July 7th. Judkins and the victim came to Miami as friends. According to the report, the victim reported the incident five days later, after they had stayed together in Miami and celebrated her birthday.
Again, there are a lot of factors here that the general public doesn't know about yet. There are some people jumping to conclusions, saying that this is something fishy. We will not do that. All of the facts still need to come out from this situation, and the Browns are doing some fact-gathering as well.
No matter what, this is still a bad optics situation. This is still not the start to his NFL career that Judkins was looking for. Instead of being known for his play on the field, he is being talked about for some incidents off the field, and he hasn't even taken a professional snap yet.
Judkins was a second-round pick by the Browns and was taken ahead of TreVeyon Henderson in the 2025 NFL Draft. He will have a lot of work to do to get back into the good graces of the fan base, no matter what the outcome of this investigation is.
